Sensex flat; Tata Motors drops 5%

The Sensex is now down 14 points at 14,273.

The NSE Nifty is up 17 points at 4,330.

Wipro has soared 3.5% to Rs 437. Tata Steel has surged 3% to Rs 649, and DLF has gained 2.7% at Rs 504.

NTPC, Tata Power and Reliance Infrastructure have moved up 1.5% each to Rs 174,Rs 1,132 and Rs 985, respectively.

Hindalco and Sterlite have gained 1.3% each at Rs 142 and Rs 631, respectively.

Reliance and ONGC are up around 1% each at Rs 2,188 and RS 1,000, respectively.

Tata Motors has plunged over 5% to Rs 395. ITC has shed 4% at Rs 180.

 

Maruti has slipped 2.5% to Rs 574, and HDFC Bank has dropped 1.8% to Rs 1,073.

TCS, SBI and Bharti Airtel are down over 1% each at Rs 829, Rs 1,371 and Rs 801, respectively.
