Sensex in red; Wipro gains 4%

The Sensex is now down 58 points at 14,229.

The NSE Nifty is up three points at 4,317.

Wipro has surged 3.7% to Rs 438. DLF has gained 2.6% at Rs 504.

NTPC has advanced over 2% to Rs 175. Tata Steel and Sterlite are up 1% each at Rs 637 and Rs 629, respectively.

ITC and Tata Motors have plunged around 3.5% each to Rs 181 and RS 402, respectively.

SBI has dropped nearly 3% to Rs 1,347, and HDFC Bank has shed 2.6% at Rs 1,064.

Jaiprakash Associates, Reliance Communications and Ranbaxy have slipped over 1.5% each to Rs 154, Rs 494 and Rs 485, respectively.

 

Maruti, ICICI Bank and TCS have also declined around 1.5% each to Rs 579, Rs 626 and Rs 827, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, ACC and Infosys are down over 1% each at Rs 800, Rs 583 and Rs 1,584, respectively.
