Sensex rebounds; Wipro, M&M up 5%

The Nifty is up four points at 3,901.

Wipro has zoomed over 5% to Rs 437, and Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has rallied 4.7% to Rs 461.

Satyam has surged over 4% to Rs 450. Infosys and Hindalco have gained 2.7% each at Rs 1,756 and Rs 138, respectively.

SBI and Ranbaxy have advanced 2% each to Rs 1,046 and Rs 517, respectively.

ONGC, Maruti, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications are up around 1.5% each at Rs 802, Rs 577, Rs 718 and Rs 402, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure has plunged 4.7% to Rs 669. ACC has tumbled over 4% to Rs 484.

 

Jaiprakash Associates has shed nearly 3% at Rs 131. Tata Motors has slipped 2.5% to Rs 398.

HDFC, DLF and ITC are down over 1% each to Rs 1,812, Rs 364 and Rs 181, respectively.
