Silver futures decline weak Asian cues

Silver futures prices fell by Rs 115 to Rs 37,052 per kg today as speculators offloaded their positions, tracking a weak trend in the Asian region.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, silver for delivery in December fell by Rs 115, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 37,052 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,207 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in March also fell by Rs 103, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 378,348 per kg, with a business turnover of 86 lots. 

Market analysts said weak trend in the Asian region kept pressure on the silver futures here.

 
In the Asian trade, silver fell by 0.12 cents, or 0.48 per cent to $24.82 an ounce.
