Silver futures decline 0.3% on lower global trend

Lower global trend had a negative effect on silver futures here

Silver futures for March declined by Rs 173, or 0.3%, to Rs 57,488 per kg in 6,306 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract traded lower by Rs 151, or 0.26%, to Rs 58,873 per kg in 376 lots.

Prices fell as participants trimmed positions.

Lower global trend had a negative effect on silver futures trade here.

In Singapore, silver fell 0.7% to $30.73 an ounce, the lowest since January 28.
