Small sugar softens on weak demand

Small sugar prices eased further in an otherwise steady Vashi Wholesale market here today on sluggish demand from retailers amidst good supplies.

Meanwhile, medium sugar variety closed stable in the absence of necessary buying support.

Small sugar quality (S-30) edged down by Rs five per quintal to Rs 2,831/2,871 from its overnight closing level of Rs 2,836/2,871. 

Medium sugar quality (M-30) were unaltered at Rs 2,862/ 2,951 per quintal.
