Steel prices remain flat on thin trade

The wholesale steel market ended on a flat note today, as prices moved in a tight range on the absence of buying support and settled around previous levels.

Marketmen said absence of any worthwhile activity against adequate stocks position kept steel prices around previous levels.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per tonne:

CTD saria (Kamdhenu) 8-mm, 31,900, 10-mm, 31,900, 12-mm 31,700, 16-25 mm  31,900. Rathi tor steel : 8-mm 33,300, 10-mm 33,300, 12-mm 33,800, 16-20 mm 33,800 and 25-32 mm 33,800.
