Volatility continues... Tata Steel, Ranbaxy gain 3%

The Sensex continues to exhibit volatility in early trades this morning. The index after a positive start, slipped to a low of 9,914 only to bounce back to a high of 10,127 - up 213 points from the day's low.
The index, however, has pared gains and is now down six points at 9,997.
Tata Steel and Ranbaxy have soared over 3% each to Rs 211 and Rs 163, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro has surged nearly 3% to Rs 680. SBI has gained 2.5% at Rs 1,121.
Reliance Communications, Hindalco and Grasim have rallied around 2% each to Rs 172, Rs 53 and Rs 1,630, respectively.

Tata Motors, Sun Pharma and ICICI Bank have also advanced nearly 2% each to Rs 176, Rs 1,095 and Rs 381, respectively.
ONGC, Mahindra & Mahindra and ACC are up around 1.5% each at Rs 818, Rs 391 and Rs 568, respectively.
Infosys, Maruti and HDFC however are down over 1% each at Rs 1,363, Rs 762 and Rs 1,637, respectively.
