Former England captain Andrew Strauss has issued a warning predicting the future of Test Cricket, saying he fears it could 'fizzle out'.

Strauss made this gloomy anticipation in the paperback edition of his autobiography 'Driving Ambition'.

In it the former opening batsman, who led England to Ashes victory in both 2009 and again in 2010 and 2011 in Australia, highlighted the revamp of the International Cricket Council and the growth of lucrative Twenty20 tournaments such as the Indian Premier League as the biggest threats to Test matches.

Strauss now sits in the cricket committee of the ICC which is run by the cricket's three wealthiest countries India, England and Australia.

Strauss said that he admitted that he became quite concerned about Test crickets by the year.
