Kerala Police has arrested a resident of Amritsar from Navi Mumbai for allegedly hacking the email account of an export firm near Kochi and transferring more than five lakh rupees from its internet bank account.
According to reports, the money was transferred into an account in Maharashtra, which was opened using fake documents.
The accused, Sameer Ramesh Saigal, has been remanded to judicial custody by the Judicial Magistrate Court at Kochi.
