Now, get names of drone strike victims online

A young German journalist is launching a website listing the names of people killed in drone strikes around the world.

Emran Feroz is about to start up his project, called "dronememorial.com", to humanize the numbers by giving back the names to the ones killed in drone strikes, the Express Tribune reports.

His project is driven by a belief that people in the West do not recognise what daily life in Waziristan and other areas of the world is like when drones are hovering overhead, the report added.

Feroz, the son of Afghan immigrants, said he felt fortunate to be in Europe, while his fellow Afghans were becoming victims of extrajudicial killings under a questionable 'foreign policy'.

The 22-year-old's project is a website with only one page, containing a virtual memorial for all the victims of drone strikes along with the locations of the respective attack.
