The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has said internal consultations on holding peace talks with the government were in progress, but no final decision has been made as yet.

The TTP yet again denied media reports about initiation of any kind of dialogue with the Pakistan government on Wednesday, the News International reports.

The TTP spokesman, Shahidullah Shahid, said the Taliban also supported reconciliation and some Ulema had also contacted the TTP for peace talks.

However, he reaffirmed that the Taliban will make a formal announcement, if talks were to be held with the government.

Earlier, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had also denied media reports about talks with the Taliban.
