Pakistani Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has announced the ministry's decision to seek legal assistance from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Interpol for probing the alleged sale of fake degrees by the software company, Axact.
While speaking to the press at Punjab House, Khan said that the inquiry against Axact would be completed within 10 days and added that a request for legal assistance might be made to the United Kingdom as well, reported the Dawn.
Khan also said that the probe was progressing in a positive manner and that the material that had come forth was "quite substantive."
Noting that a final decision was yet to be taken, the minister warned the media against jumping to conclusions before the inquiry was completed.
