Paris St-Germain kickstart Ligue 1 season with 1-0 win over Lille

Defending champions Paris St-Germain started the new Ligue 1 season on a winning note after defeating Lille 1-0 despite being forced to play with 10 men for more than one hour.

Adrien Rabiot was given his marching order by referee in the 27th minute for a second yellow card before Lucas Moura scored the decisive goal in the second half, the BBC reported.

PSG were playing without forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and their new 44.3m pound acquisition Angel Di Maria.
