Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan has hinted that banned all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez will be included in the squad for the upcoming World Cup.
The 15-member World Cup squad is currently being finalized as it has to be submitted to the International Cricket Council (ICC) by the January 7 deadline.
Khan said that the difference between Hafeez's arm bend and legal 15-degree limit set by the ICC was of just one and a half degrees, adding that hopefully with continuous work Hafeez would be able to bowl under ICC prescribed limit, the Dawn reported.
He further said that Mushtaq should be with the team to continue his work on Hafeez's action during the World Cup and prior to the short tour of New Zealand, the report added.
The seasoned all-rounder was suspended from bowling with immediate effect after the International Cricket Council ruled his action was illegal.
Earlier, Hafeez had reportedly failed to clear the second bio-mechanics test conducted to assess the legality of his bowling action in a lab in Chennai.
