Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a Civil Services Day function in New Delhi today.
At the event, he will also confer awards for excellence in public administration on civil service officers.
Three public administration categories-Individual, Team and Organization-have been selected for the prestigious Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Public Administration.
The award includes a medal, scroll and a cash prize.
The Prime Minister will also release a book named 'Best Practices- Tomorrow is Here' on the occasion.

The two-day programme started with a series of panel discussions on Monday.
Union ministers Smriti Irani and Rajiv Pratap Rudy, NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Dr. Arvind Panagariya and many experts spoke to the civil servants on various themes like social sector, housing, employment, skill, entrepreneurship, e-Samikhsa and multi-purpose and multi-modal platform, Pro-Active Governance And Timely Implementation, PRAGATI.
This is the first time that Civil Services Day is being held for two days.
