Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday called for the youth to transform India into an economic superpower, encouraging them towards nation building.
Addressing the 57th convocation ceremony of the Lucknow University, Singh stated that students should strive towards the inculcation of education which helps develop their personality in a comprehensive way.
The minister further expressed concern over what he termed was a growing tendency of a section of highly educated youth in the country towards extremism and radicalization.
During the ceremony, Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court DY Chandrachud was conferred with the honorary degree of LLD Honoris Causa.
