Three militants killed in J-K encounter

A gun battle between security forces and militants in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir led to three insurgents being killed.

According to reports, security forces, acting on intelligence, had earlier launched a cordon and search operation in the Kaddar forest area. As the operation was underway, the militants opened fire on the security teams. The encounter is still on.
