A UK man who has become the first person to row the Atlantic, climb Everest and cycle around the world has revealed that he survived the expedition on a diet of Subway, Taco Bell and McDonald's burgers.

James Ketchell, who has biked 18,000 miles, rowed 3,000 miles and climbed 29,000ft, said that the burger chain became his "second home" because it was "cheap, easy to get to and had WiFi", the Daily Star reported.

The 31-year-old chartered accountant, who recently recovered from breaking his legs and arms in a motorbike crash, said that he always wanted to row the Atlantic and he used it as a motivational goal.
