Thousands of people from West Bengal's Jhargram area have taken shelter in relief centres as incessant rains and floods have stalled normal life in the region.
The flood affected villagers of Satma village have been moved to Babudumro High School relief centre.
West Bengal and Odisha are reeling under heavy rains due to cyclone Komen, which made land fall in Bangladesh last evening.
State governments have already sounded a high alert in coastal districts and taken necessary precautionary measures to deal with the situation.
Fishermen were also warned to keep away from the sea.
