Why George Clooney gave Oscars a miss

Speculations are rife that George Clooney was in London with his new girlfriend, Amal Alamuddin, which made him miss the Oscar ceremony.

However, the 52-year-old actor's rep has said that the Clooney was not in London, but on a well-deserved and long-overdue vacation, the New York Post reported.

Clooney had produced 'August: Osage County' and also starred in Oscar-winning film 'Gravity'.
