Australian equity market finished higher for fourth consecutive session on Tuesday, 12 December 2017, on tracking a strong lead from Wall Street overnight, with shares of heavyweight energy and mining sectors being notable gainers offsetting falls in the utilities and healthcare sectors. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 stock index rose 0.25% to 6,013.2 points.
