China Market ends softer

The Mainland China equity market closed softer on Monday, 23 April 2018, with shares of defense and computer companies being notable losers. The Shanghai Composite slipped 0.1%, or 3.53 points, to 3,068.01. The blue-chip CSI 300 Index of big-caps added 0.15%, or 5.47 points, to 3,766.33 and the ChiNext gauge of smaller companies fell 1.7% to 1,753.05.
