Hong Kong Hang Seng gains 0.2%

The Hong Kong stock market closed higher on Thursday, 14 December 2017, as stocks denominated in the territory's US dollar-pegged currency enjoyed a boost from the weaker greenback. The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.2% to close at 29,166.38.The Hang Seng China Enterprises index, however, inched up 0.1% to 11,531.73. Turnover decreased slightly to HK$106.5 billion from HK$106.8billion on Wednesday.
