The Hong Kong stock market closed higher on Wednesday, 22 November 2017, with benchmark Hang Seng index surpassing physiological important 30,000 level for the first time in more than a decade, driven broadly by following the rally of the US equity markets overnight. The Hang Seng Index rose 0.62% to close at 30 003.49, its highest since 5 November 2007. Hong Kong market's daily turnover reached HK$158 billion, slightly higher than Tuesday's HK$157 billion.
