Japan share market finished session higher on Friday, 18 May 2018, as risk appetite buying supported yen weakening to upper half of the 110 range against greenback. Among TSE33 issues, oil and coal product, mining and insurance-linked issues comprised those that gained the most by the close of play. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 91.99 points, or 0.40%, to close the day at 22,930.36. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 6.88 points, or 0.38%, to finish at 1,815.25.
