Quick Wrap: Nifty Infrastructure Index rises 2.24%

Nifty Infrastructure index closed up 2.24% at 3380.05 today. The index is up 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Engineers India Ltd gained 6.29%, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd jumped 5.36% and Adani Power Ltd added 4.91%. The Nifty Infrastructure index is up 2.00% over last one year compared to the 12.44% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index added 2.18% and Nifty Metal index added 2.11% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.68% to close at 11924.75 while the SENSEX added 0.63% to close at 39683.29 today.
