Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index falls 1.85%

Nifty Media index ended down 1.85% at 2486.05 today. The index has gained 18.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Zee Media Corporation Ltd added 4.81%, Dish TV India Ltd slipped 4.07% and T.V. Today Network Ltd shed 3.70%. The Nifty Media index has fallen 23.00% over last one year compared to the 8.90% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index gained 1.41% and Nifty Pharma index is down 1.19% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.05% to close at 11058.2 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.24% to close at 36725.42 today.
