Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index falls 2.06%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed down 2.06% at 3124.2 today. The index has gained 14.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Bank of Baroda dropped 4.07%, Syndicate Bank shed 3.62% and Central Bank of India fell 2.90%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has soared 11.00% over last one year compared to the 13.27% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index has dropped 1.78% and Nifty Energy index has slid 1.49% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.56% to close at 11456.9 while the SENSEX has slid 0.58% to close at 38164.61 today.
