Rupee retreats

At 60.05/06 per dollar

Rupee suffered minimal loss at the close of trade on Monday (12 May 2014) and was at 60.05/06 per dollar, versus its previous close of 60.02/03 on Friday.

Earlier during the session, rupee hit its 10-month high of 59.51 due to heavy dollar buying by the central bank ahead of the exit polls due at the end of the day.
