At least 18 people were killed in a coal mine accident in China's Hunan province, officials said on Monday.
A gas leak occurred at the Jilinqiao colliery in Youxian county on Sunday, when a total of 55 workers were working in the mining shaft, Xinhua news agency reported.
Thirty-seven miners were rescued.
