Chinese shares open mixed on Wednesday

Chinese stocks opened mixed on Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.24 percent at 2,998.04 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.43 percent higher at 9,330.76 points, Xinhua news agency reported.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, opened 0.9 percent higher at 1,813.73 points.
