Delhi jeweller shot in robbery bid

A 58-year-old jewellery shop owner was shot at when he resisted a robbery attempt in his shop here Friday afternoon, police said.

Vinod Malhotra was shot in his left leg and was admitted to a hospital where his condition was out of danger.

Malhotra was alone in his shop in Rohini in north Delhi when the three armed men barged in and shot him when he resisted their robbery attempt.

Police are examining the CCTV footage of the shop.
