Man stabbed to death by unidentified assailants

A 37-year-old man was stabbed to death by a group of unidentified men outside his brother's house here, police said on Monday.

Police said incident in north Delhi's Khajoori Khas area took place on 8 p.m. on Sunday, when Aasif was alone at the ouse while his family went to attend a wedding.

"When Aasif was out taking a stroll near his house, he was allegedly got into a scuffle with a group of men. He was stabbed multiple times on his chest by the accused," a senior police officer said.

Though the murder took place in full public view, no eyewitness has come forward. On the other hand, a local informed police, following which a team reached the scene and took Aasif to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.

 

The family alleged that 15 days ago, Aasif had a fight with someone over financial issues, but it was later resolved.

Meanwhile, police said it was examining the nearby CCTV footage to ascertain the identities of accused.
