Actor Omari Hardwick has been slammed by Twitterati for kissing singer Beyonce at an awards ceremony.
A video from the 2019 NAACP Image Awards went viral in which the "Power" star can be seen kissing Beyonce on the right cheek and giving her a hug. He then kissed her on the cheek a second time, reports foxnews.com.
This did not go well with social media users as they started calling out Hardwick for making Beyonce uncomfortable.
One user commented: "Second kiss was unnecessary and uncomfortable. Don't do that again. We women so often get touched, kissed, groped and poked in instances exactly like this (at an event, at work, etc). We don't like it. It's time to no longer let these moments of discomfort slide."
Another user brought up the #MeToo movement.
"This is why the #MeToo movement is important. No matter how famous and powerful a woman is, there will always be some...Inappropriate man who feels like he has the right to take your manner and generosity as an invitation to make you uncomfortable. You disrespected your wife, your children, Beyonce and Jay Z (Beyonce's husband) and need to apologise."
