Paddler Sharath loses in semis, to contest for bronze

Indian paddler Sharath Kamal lost in straight games to Singapore's Jian Zhan in the men's singles event of the 2014 Commonwealth Games here Saturday.

Sharath Kamal, a former Commonwealth champion, lost 6-11, 6-11, 6-11, 8-11 in 27 minutes.

The Indian paddler will now contest the bronze medal match against England's Liam Pitchford later in the day.
