The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters at 11, Ashoka Road, is buzzing with activity again. Party office-bearers are trying to take time out from their busy schedules to interact with the media and meet guests at the party headquarters. The change has come after complaints from journalists, visitors and even BJP members of Parliament that office-bearers were either unavailable or perfunctory in their interactions as they were busy appearing on television for discussions. The change in the new year, as party chief Amit Shah gears up for re-election on January 23, has been pleasant for visitors. But it has meant more work for office-bearers, who now have to patiently meet a stream of visitors and journalists.
