Buying in to e-commerce

It is well known that the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), an organisation of small and medium retailers, has been vehemently opposed to foreign direct investment (FDI) in retail and e-commerce. But the organisation appears to have overcome this aversion to both when it hosted Narendra Modi as star speaker in Delhi on Thursday. For one, Modi is known to be a strong proponent of FDI and e-commerce. For another, and most significantly, one of the key sponsors at CAIT's event was none other than ebay India.
