Double whammy
Derek O'Brien said the Opposition parties approached the people of the state with a "double negative": stop development and defeat Mamata

Trinamool Congress (TMC) Member of Parliament Derek O'Brien has a simple formula to explain the victory of his party and the defeat of the Opposition in the Assembly elections in West Bengal.
He said the Opposition parties approached the people of the state with a "double negative": stop development and defeat Mamata. On the other hand, the TMC had a "double positive" agenda based on development and peace and harmony, he said. "Both these were personified in our leader Mamata Banerjee and people accepted her," said O'Brien.
