Idea Cellular was all set to announce on Tuesday the launch of a games club - a subscription-based model for premium mobile-gaming apps - in a tie-up with software maker Opera. At the last minute and in the presence of assembled reporters, the would-be partners called off the announcement. Looks like the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's late-Monday ruling barring operators from charging differential rates for accessing internet-based content scuttled the venture.
