Historic error

Sangita Patil, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from the Limbayat constituency in Surat, put up a Facebook post on February 14, saying Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were hanged on that day. Her post received 8,808 likes, although she was widely off the mark: the trio was hanged on March 23, 1931. Incidentally, Narendra Modi, during his campaign for the 2014 general elections, too, made a number of errors when he peppered his speeches with historical events. He was regularly pulled up by the media for his errors.
