Political deputation

The Aam Aadmi Party, like any nascent party, is in a flux. It has become an umbrella party for political and social activists of all hues. AAP's leaders are also in cold war with each other to carve out an ever greater space for themselves within the party by getting noted individuals of their particular ideological persuasion to join the party. CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat told journalists earlier this week that AAP leader Yogendra Yadav has approached some of his party's Central Committee members to contest elections on an AAP ticket. "He has asked our leaders to join AAP on deputation," said Karat.
