Saving maa, mati, manush

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leveraging Mamata Banerjee's war cry that brought down the Left Front government in West Bengal to turn the heat on the Trinamool Congress (TMC)-led government in the state. Criticising the state government for the recent violence in Malda, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh last week said maa, mati and manush (mother, earth and people) were not secure in West Bengal. Addressing a rally in West Bengal's Barasat area, the senior BJP leader hit out at the TMC dispensation, saying there won't be any investment in the state unless the government reined in lawlessness and ensured development and good governance.
