State of primary education in Bihar

One of the planks on which the Nitish Kumar government came to power was access to primary schools. A look at data culled from Aser surveys reveals while the number of children not enrolled in school has gone down since 2006, it has risen again in recent years. In contrast, children enrolled in private schools are back at nearly 2006-levels
