In a freak incident, a 35-year-old woman died of electrocution and 10 other devotees were injured when a glitch in a motor caused electric current to run through a temple in Sohangarh village, police said.
"A woman was electrocuted and 10 other devotees suffered burn wounds when electric current ran through Ambamata temple where a religious function was in progress to mark 'Sawan Somwar'," Jaora Industrial Area police station Inspector Harish Jejulkar said.
The mishap happened around 3 PM when a ritual of 'Abhishek' was in progress with a water tanker and electricity-driven motor.

Prima facie, some fault in the motor caused the electric current to run through the temple, he said.
"By the time, the devotees managed to switch off the power supply, 11 persons had sustained injuries," the inspector said.
The deceased was identified as Vardibai.
