1 killed, 2 hurt in road mishap

One person was killed and two others were injured when an auto-rickshaw overturned near Brahamasthan in Bihar's Bhojpur district today, the police said.

The driver of the auto-rickshaw lost control and the three wheeler fell into a roadside gorge, Station House Officer(SHO) S A Hashmi said.

The deceased and injured were members of same family, he said.

The villagers blocked the Ara-Barhara road for several hours in protest against rash driving and demonstrated on the road with the body demanding adequate compensation to the victim's family.

The injured woman and her child have been brought to Sadar Hospital.
