Two brothers were killed today when a car they were travelling in overturned and dashed against a tree near Dhani Brahmnan village on Hansi-Jind road, about 45 km from here.
The incident occurred today when the two brothers, identified as Sandeep Sura (30) and Praveen Sura (26), were returning to their home in Pali village in the car, police said.
In a bid to save a dog, which had suddenly appeared on the road, one of the brothers, who was driving the car lost control over the vehicle and it overturned and hit the tree, they said, adding that both the brothers died on the spot.
The bodies have been sent to civil hospital in Hansi for postmortem, police added.
