Two associate professors of King George's Medical University here have been suspended by the varsity's vice-chancellor, after their names cropped up in an alleged admission racket.
D K Katiyar, Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacology and K P Singh, Associate Professor of Microbiology department, have been suspended by VC Ravi Kant yesterday, a KGMU official said today.
The suspension has come after a Combined Pre-Medical Test-2014 aspirant lodged a case with Noida Police alleging that he has got an offer to get an admission in the varsity after paying Rs 16 lakh.

Katiyar, one of the suspended faculty members, has alleged that his chamber was misused by Singh, the other faculty member who has been suspended.
The VC has written to police to probe into the matter, the official said.
