2 killed after being hit by train in UP

Two persons were today killed when a van, in which they were travelling, was hit by a running train at an unmanned crossing in Baghpat district, police said here.

Kirti (60) and Sonu (30) were killed when their van was hit by a Sahranpur-Delhi passenger train at an unmanned crossing in Fakarpur in Khekada area of Baghpat, they said.

The incident took place at about 11.25 am, they said, adding, the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
