2 teenage brothers attacked with knives by robbers

Two teenage brothers were attacked with knives and looted of their mobile phones and cash amounting to Rs 40 by some unidentified persons in the wee hours today in Bharat Nagar area of North Delhi.

13-year-old Rohit and his cousin Ajay (18), who work as waiters, were going back to their residence in JJ Colony in Wajirpur from a marriage hall at Bharat Nagar around 3.30 am when they were attacked, police said, adding that they were accompanied by their friend Netra Pal.

The youths were walking through a dark stretch of road when they were suddenly intercepted by three unidentified persons who were armed with knives, police said.
 

The robbers asked them to part with their belongings and when they refused they were attacked with knives, police said.

"Ajay was stabbed in the cheek while Rohit received a gash in the head. Netra Pal managed to flee," a police official said, adding, the robbers snatched their Chinese-manufactured mobile phones and Rs 40 cash.

The victims later called the police and were taken to a nearby hospital by a PCR car, the official said, adding that a case has been registered.
